Anders Zorn
I would like to paint portraits, at least I think I should. I think I could be quite good at them too but I am not sure because I haven't done so many. The trick is to start. So this portrait of Swedish artist, Anders Zorn is just that, a start. At least it is a beginning, now all I have to do is improve upon it next time I paint a portrait.

Gorgeous skin tones, shades incredibly natural, I can´t compare the likeness with the original but I´m sure it´s the same face as the painter´s. If I have to say something for not been too pleasant less sharpness in the left part of the face would make it to recede in the background. And you can be sure you are a very good painter whatever you do.
ReplyDeleteThank you setxu! I agree totally with you, the portrait would have benefited from some lost and found areas. More tonal contrasts too I guess. I will try and keep this in mind when painting my next portrait.
DeleteMerry Christmas, and happy new year, keep painting and making this wonderful paintings.
