A logo for a fish

It's probably the worst deal I've ever done, I promised I'd create a logo for a work-mate's fishing team called the "Trout Vikings". I said I'd do it for a fish, which we received and ate, he's been waiting a long time for his logo and I feel real bad about it, hopefully he likes this design, he'd better, he paid me just a fish after all!

The completed "Lunch Sketch #7"

I finished this lunchtime sketch of Arnold Schwarzenegger eventually. It took me 5 lunches to complete, that's about 30 minutes each time so I guess it took two and a half hours to finish.
I got bored with this early into the execution but I stuck with for practice reasons. Personally I want to be more expressionistic with my art and not so detailed. Still, I learned a lot, becoming good with watercolour is all about practice, practice and practice.

Lunch Sketch #7

I am struggling with this, my colours are becoming muddy. Still, it's a learning process, I am discovering and experimenting but most importantly, it makes me happy.

Lunch Sketch #3

I started this yesterday but then I got interrupted by work so I ended up finishing it today. It's not perfect but I'm happy enough with it. The purpose of these lunch time sketches it to get myself out of a bad habit, I want to stop just mindlessly surfing my lunchtimes away. Who knows, I might even improve my drawing skills too!

Rockin' JellyBean

http://www.rockinjellybean.com
I know this is politicly incorrect,
but I like it!
Rockin’ JellyBean who lives in Japan (I think) is known for wearing Mexican wrestling masks and having a babe on each arm. He also has a Surf-Rock band called Jackie and the Cedrics.

Sabastian Kruger does a real good caricature

Sebastian Kruger
Damn, this guy can draw, maybe if I practice and practice I can be 10% as good as him.

Eye bat

I developed the below eye bat illustration by importing it into Adobe Illustrator and using my Wacom board to draw over the original drawing. It was my first attempt at this so I'm pretty happy.

Smokers really annoy me!

I am an ex-smoker which means I'm extra sensitive to the whiff of nicotine. Everyday I wait at the bus terminal at Slussen, in Stockholm for my bus home in the rush hour. Slussen is going to get knocked down, the sooner the better I think, it's now a pit.
Built in the 1930's it was and still is an architectural marvel in many ways. The only negatives really are that it's falling down and the bus terminal which is underneath the maze of twirling roads has zero ventilation from bus fumes and SMOKERS! It's a filthy place, it's dark and the noise levels are extreme, knock it down! Wow, am I frustrated or what! ;)

I bought a new pen today!

Work is slow right now. I bought a pen today, a FABER-CASTELL 1.0mm. This is the first drawing with it. I like these lazy days of summer, next week I go sailing for a week!

Robert Crumb

I'm reading about R.Crumbs life at the moment, I really admire the guy as a person and as for his work, it's really entertaining and his cross hatching is brilliant! I guess you could say, I'm a fan. Here's a link to his official family website.

Blind on their mobiles

I have a mini fold-up cycle called a Strida that I wheel through the underground/subway each day. Its amazing how blind people are when they are talking to someone on the phone, I am aware that I can hurt commuters with my bike but are they aware that I just missed putting a tyre track up their leg!

A slow day at work...

Let's face it, we all have bad days at work. This was the result of one of mine. Thankfully I enjoy my job 99% of the time.
