I was cross-country skiing in the mountains near Norway last week. When my aching body was trying to recover in the evenings, I painted. Here are two little still lifes from the trip: 7,8 x 11,5 cm.
Fantastic darktones in the background, plenty of texture and color richness, are the whites paper ones or opaque ones?. No matter what you look at, you are able to find art, congratulations.
Thank you setxu! The whites are a mixture of white paper and gouache, a little too much paint maybe. I'm happy with the paintings, the small format is easier to work with I find. All I need to do now is work my way up to larger sizes and maintain the freshness. Not easy! :) I have ordered a full set of Ken Bromley paper stretchers, looking forward to working on large flat surfaces while using a lot of water. http://www.artsupplies.co.uk/cat-perfect-paper-stretcher.htm
