Work doodle #4

I think I was inspired by Zap comix when I doodled this. Ive forgotten the name of the original artist unfortunately.

Doodles from work

I never have time to draw, even though I'd really like to. I doodle in meetings, so here's one.

Rodent muscles in on couple's picture in Canadian park after becoming intrigued by sound of focusing camera

From the Guardian newspaper

Smokers really annoy me!

I am an ex-smoker which means I'm extra sensitive to the whiff of nicotine. Everyday I wait at the bus terminal at Slussen, in Stockholm for my bus home in the rush hour. Slussen is going to get knocked down, the sooner the better I think, it's now a pit.
Built in the 1930's it was and still is an architectural marvel in many ways. The only negatives really are that it's falling down and the bus terminal which is underneath the maze of twirling roads has zero ventilation from bus fumes and SMOKERS! It's a filthy place, it's dark and the noise levels are extreme, knock it down! Wow, am I frustrated or what! ;)

I bought a new pen today!

Work is slow right now. I bought a pen today, a FABER-CASTELL 1.0mm. This is the first drawing with it. I like these lazy days of summer, next week I go sailing for a week!

Robert Crumb

I'm reading about R.Crumbs life at the moment, I really admire the guy as a person and as for his work, it's really entertaining and his cross hatching is brilliant! I guess you could say, I'm a fan. Here's a link to his official family website.

Food for thought with Mark Ryden

I really like Mark Ryden's work, I see his paintings as a modern interpretation of the old fairy tradition. Children that are taken away by the fairies or the young fairies carrying out acts against the evil people of this world. Otherwise, I just like the way Mark sees the world, it's a pretty strange place from his perspective.

Son of a hooligan

Is he cute or is he unlovable like his dad?

Is it possible to love a hooligan?

I drew this skinhead while not focusing too hard at work. It got me a thinking, can you love a hooligan? No, probably not but what about their kids, are they cute and loveable?

A doodle from last week.

The thing about mindless doodles is that they are totally mindless. I have no idea why I drew this guy on a skateboard!

Another Plus minus dude, this time in my blue period.

Plus minus dude

He doesn't know what to think, should he be happy or sad? This is the question he will probably never get an answer to.

Funny what goes through ones head in a long meeting

I'm learning cross hatching techniques right now...

I did a search on google for "cross hatch" and found this site. I like the way his lines follow the soft forms of the females body. I am going to use the technique and see what result it gives when I start drawing nudes again after the summer break.
