Saturday's life drawing session.
This was difficult for me, the model, an elderly lady who is obviously undergoing chemotherapy reminded me a lot of my own wife who had chemotherapy two years ago. Still, it was an interesting session, older models have so many interesting lines and curves to draw. A session of mixed emotions. Respect to the model for not letting cancer stop her.

David,
ReplyDeleteI like your use of line and color. Very light and casual. As for the model, I've never had chemo, but I have had 5 1/2 weeks of daily radiation. Very brave and dedicated model.
My health is what precipitated my return to art (such as it is). Drawing, painting and the act of creating...anything is good for you.
Keep up the great work, I enjoy following you and your style.
Thank you for your kind comments about my work. I hope your health is better now. Art is truly great for our well-being, I agree with that - I have been having so much fun since rediscovering my artistic side a few years back. It will be interesting to see if it takes over altogether in the future. I see you are an Urban Sketcher, I must join them too, I joined the Flickr group but not the website, I forgot, silly me.
DeleteHappy sketching!
