Paul Klein on becoming a successful artist

I thought Paul here had good advice to offer on becoming a successful artist. I'm just starting out, having just become a half-time employee and therefore halving my income. I need a certain level of success if I want to afford visiting my son in Tokyo etc. This is why I found this video interesting, he has the experience that I have to gain, the quicker I learn the better.

Jim McVicker: A Way of Seeing

I found this film about Jim McVicker to be very inspiring, mainly because I feel that I am on the same path. I'm just starting out, at least that is the way it feels.

Lars Lerin - Kanal 12 i Varmland

Lars Lerin is probably the most interesting and talented watercolourist living in Sweden today. Here are three interviews about Lars and his work. The videos are in Swedish unfortunately. You can see his paintings here is you are not familiar with his work. He doesn't seem to have a web-gallery which is a pity. There is a documentary I would like to see called, "För dig naken", it was filmed by his niece, Sara Bross and was released in 2012.

Watercolour flowers - mass5000

I tried my hand at flower painting yesterday, it was a birthday card for my sister. It was great fun and so today I looked for some inspiration on the internet.

maas5000 - Check out the YouTube channel here. Can somebody please tell me her name? I'm guessing, but I don't think mass5000 is her real name.

If anyone likes the concept of street art then this film is a must! I saw it at the weekend and found it very entertaining. Banksy does it again!

Simon Schama's Picasso

I did not feel like doing a lunch time sketch today so I watched my favourite art series by Simon Schama. This week it's Picasso's turn.

I found this artist, Sean Cheetham while I was surfing on my lunch break, his portrait painting skills are good and the music track to the video is enjoyable too! His blog: http://seancheetham.blogspot.com
